Are Your Kids Halloween Costume Ready?

My kids are finally Halloween Costume ready!

This year my oldest son (10) wanted to be Enderman from Minecraft.

If you don't know, Minecraft is a popular online video game where the players creatively build constructions out of textured blocks or cubes in a 3D world.

In survival mode, players gather resources to maintain health and hunger. In creative mode, gamers focus on building and creating large projects, unaffected by depleting resources.

It is the hot thing!

Enderman is a black, 3 block figure with arms and legs and glowing eyes. They are neutral until provoked by being looked at or attacked.

Enderman was not too difficult for us to put together. We stock Minecraft t-shirts and I was able to get the cardboard heads for the store in time for Halloween. They sold out immediately. Then we used black jeans, sweatshirt and gloves to complete the look.

Whereas, my younger son (4) is hooked on his newest fascination of the week, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or TMNT.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a TV show on Nickelodeon about a team of four Ninja Turtles that live in New York City sewer who battle criminals.

The Turtles t-shirts we stock at the store are great but this kid wanted two turtles costumes because he couldn't decide which ninja turtle to be for Halloween. He wanted to change between Raphael (red/daggers) and Donatello (purple/staff). The two other turtles are Leonardo (blue/twin swords) and Michelangelo (orange/two nunchaku).

Michelangelo is usually the most popular ninja turtle but my child loves the not so mainstream characters. He'd pick Darth Vader over Luke any day.

So we were able to get a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costume online that came with the Donatello mask. It was 2 sizes too big but that's all we could find. We had it tailored. Then, we bought the daggers, staff and Raphael mask.

Hopefully, they can carefully carry these to school and dress themselves for the parade. I think the easy costume; a ghost costume made from a white sheet with two holes cut in it for eyes like on The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, is the way to go. However, my kids have their vision and this is our product.

Trick or Treat! Happy Halloween! Eat Lots of Candy!
