Swaddling Receiving Blankets
Swaddling seems to be making a come back in recent years. The theory is, since newborn babies are not accustomed to free, open space, they feel more secure when wrapped in a warm blanket that restricts their movement and in turn simulates the environment of the womb.
Many brands have introduced blankets specifically for swaddling such as Summer Infant SwaddleMe, The Miracle Blanket and Boppy. If you're using a regular receiving blanket to swaddle your baby, one way to swaddle is to place the blanket on a flat surface and fold one corner down to make a triangle. Place the baby on the blanket so that his or her head rests above the folded corner. Next, fold the opposite corner up over the baby's legs. Then, fold the right side of the blanket over the baby, tucking it under the left arm. Finally, pull the left side of the blanket around under the baby's right side.
Swaddling blankets have a multitude of uses. Blankets can be used for burping, changing diapers, play places, stroller blankets, breastfeeding privacy and even security and teething.

Fold, roll, and tie them (not too tightly) with wide obrbin or strip of co ordinating material..set blanket rolls in large planter, new hamper, large wooden box (toy box/blanket box), place in open shelving unit (so the blanket is partly hanging out of the back)..or you can fold blanket and hang on old wooden ladder if they are not too bulky. If using a ladder or something similar..please fasten it safely to the wall so as it cannot topple over if baby pulls on or tries to climb..(sorry, mommy instinct had to add that). Oh yeah..you could hang up wooden dowlings (large ones) in long lengths with fancy brackets and hang the blankets there overlapping the blankets along the rod..this can cover a wall creating a great look.
